Sometimes when you use the computer for too long or read a book without giving your eyes rest, you may develop a headache.
When you focus on something close for a long time, your eyes need to work harder in order to keep your vision clear. This excessive focusing may result in sore, tired eyes, headaches on the sides of the head or around the eyes, and blurred vision. Conditions such as astigmatism, hyperopia (far-sightedness), and accommodation excess or insufficiency, often make the strain worse.
Taking frequent breaks will help relax the eyes, and reading or computer spectacles will help reduce the strain. Contact us for an eye exam.
